Applying for a new loan

    To qualify for a loan, you must be:

  • Be between 18 – 59 years old
  • Have a verifiable source of income
  • Live and / or work in cities where we operate
  • Have a savings or current bank account with any commercial bank

Your loan process can be completed in 24 hours provided all documents are valid & presented on application.

Current utility bill, A passport photograph, 6 months statement of salary account, Letter of Employment/confirmation, validated staff email address.

It is a CBN policy, applicable to financial institutions as part of KYC requirements.

Based on the information provided by you, you do not meet the minimum requirements to access a loan.

Smeleverage uses a Risk Based Pricing model which estimates the risk of lending to each applicant and prices accordingly.

We currently run a maximum tenure of 3 months.

Once your application is approved.

We will require your salary bank statement to process your application.

You must be over 25 years and have a regular source of income to apply for a loan.

You may have been blacklisted because you contravened our business policies.

Based on the documents provided by you, you do not meet the full requirements to access a loan.

Your debt-to-income ratio may not be able to accommodate your loan request.

Your account officer will inform you once your loan is approved.

Existing loan enquiry

If your initial documents are still valid, we will only need your recent bank statement (3 months).

Please get a new debit card and send an email to hello@smeleverage.com to request for re-tokenization link or inform your account officer.

  3. GTCollect: click here and select “SME Leverage Loan Repayment”. Remember to quote your SME leverage reference < LOAN ID > when paying at the bank and also quote it in all communications with us to enable us to trace your repayments and/ or requests to your account.
  4. Cheques: The cheques deposited as part of your loan documentation will be presented to your bank on your due date. Please make sure you have enough funds to cover repayment.

You can have one active loan and take a top-up on your existing loan.

You can apply for a new loan immediately after or during the tenure of your existing loan.

Collections

If the payment details you supplied to Smeleverage have changed, incorrect or not funded, your repayment will be unsuccessful.

Our current default rate is 0.03%.

Please provide evidence of your salary change from your employer via email to hello@smeleverage.com and restructure your loan repayment with Smeleverage.
